Default 801 with the Manual Battery

Has anyone used the new 801 with the manual battery? So far heard horror stories on it not producing enough vapor, or throat hit.
All reviews, and comments that I make, and have made are my sole opinions.

I have a Janty Stick and use the 801 atomizer. I find it to produce very good vapor and flavor is also good. Throat hit is not bad at all, IMO, throat hit has more to do with the liquid. Just a note on the 801 atomizer, I have found that it takes a couple of seconds for the atty to heat up to start producing really good vapor. Vapor production is comparable to the 901 and 510,it just takes it a couple seconds longer than the 510 or 901 to get the vapor rolling.

I sold my Stick after 3 months, was not getting that great throat hit as I do with a 510, same juices. The Stick produces a lighter hit, not that thick type I like.

i know what you mean there, smokie. i just switched from 510 to js 801 and so far its alright. produces slightly more with the janty 801 atty than the 801 slb atty. I think personally it has something to do with the slots at the bottom close to the air hole, but i could be wrong. im definately finding it has less of a TH with the same juices as the 510 did, but i think thats because of the fact that the 801 doesnt run nearly as hot as the 510.

What I have been told, it has something to do with the type of manual button with the current, not sure what they meant. maybe the gage of wire?

I haven't tried the manual batts, but I figure its prob the same button thats on the usb passthrough that i had, the switch is small in there, and can sometimes move,
then u have problems, and the little rubber button can pop out pretty easy-alot different than the button on the 510. So if everything isn't just where it should be, I think thats what affects it.

Sorry to say, but you DO NOT get the true flavor of juices out of a 801 atomizer, compare it to the 510, and 901, big difference, too much air in the 801

I get more flavor from the 801 myself, main reason I never use the 510 anymore.

my 801s are my favorite at the moment. when i had 901s i preferred the 901s, more recently i've been preferring the 510 over both. but in the last few days, i think i've finally learned how to vape the 801 properly. like bold & kingoyo said, the 801 has the highest amp rating of the common atomizers and therefore takes the longest to warm up. so: when you want a quick single drag, grab your 901 or 510; but: if you like to sit & puff and build up to bigger clouds of vapor, then grab a battery mod--you *can* get good vapor out of the manual OEM batteries but you'll run the power out of them in an hour or so if you're vaping proper--and spend an evening chain-vaping with your 801.. if at that point you still can't appreciate them, then by all means feel free to mail all those unwanted 801s to Louisiana, i'll take em. ;b

i just recieved the 801 in the mail today and i have to say its thoart hit is pretty decent. i guess im wierd though becuase massive thoart hits just dont work for me they ruin the experince and cuase me to gag. the 801 with a autmatic battery does take a little bit to warm up but i have no problem getting clouds of vapor out of a standard setup so idk to each their own
