    Cool Get your geekery on!

    Hello Nu-Vapor Modders,
I'm somewhat of a geek in the sense I like to mess with circuits and what not. I came across this tutorial about how to make a custom built 5v PSU with two outputs and it intrigued me. Having the option to build my own mod with the option of 3.7, 5V, or perhaps even 6V. I know others have made mods that can do this, but this is something I can do. Just thought I would share.

    Happy modding,

    No no no,
That is not my tutorial and I didn't post it. I just thought it was something different that other people with circuit skills could get an idea from for different types of mods.

I am currently gathering parts for a new mod I will be making if would like to check that out. Here is a very basic schematic for it.

I'm not one to really measure, if it fit and works, I'm game. But the biggest part of the pack is the battery, everything else that is in the box can be stacked on top of it. The piece with the attys will be about the width of a silver bullet snd the lenght of my palm from side to side. I still have a few parts to order 5v booster, 5v & 3.7v resistors before I can start assembling it. The hardest part of this mod is coming up with the atty connector. This is what I'm thinking of doing.

I see one important thing wrong with that picture- The cartridges that hold the juice aren't near the attomizers- so unless this is for dripping only? You need to have 2 cartridges pushed onto the atty's then some tubing connecting them- but you'd probly figure that out yourself.

    Yeh,
I see what your saying Robert, which is a good idea that I didn't think of, so thank you. But I drip for the most part and I use modded pen cap that works like a brass tip. I only use carts unless I'm on the go. This type of mod isn't something I'd be walking around while vaping on it.

I'm also working on an auto drip device that attaches to cartridges, But there might be a market for that so I'm holding off on that device for awhile.

Back on subject. I can figure what two atts @ 5v would be like, reckless. But I'm really curious about how two attys @ 3.7v would be. Has anyone tried this?

Two 3.7 volts- That's easy just stick 2- 510's in your mouth. 2- 5.0 volts well I've hit 2- 5 volt Detonators at one time ( I might be the only one who ever has / or the 5 volt GLV Manufacturer) - it's kind of a big hit- it will definately make the hit (time) shorter. lol

I don't like how you have to suck on a 510, or any e cig model, @ 3.7V to get a decent hit. I hopeing the two attys @ 3.7v will make the draw smoother and sorter like a 5v draw but with the taste of 3.7v vapor. I will be using a tip instead of a cart so there shouldn't be much air flow resistance except for the attys holes. Man I got some work to do.
    Thanks for the info Robert.

Hey Robert do you have experience with 5V Boost regulators? (Pololu 5V Boost Regulator NCP1402)

    http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/798

The problem is I'm not getting 5V out of the booster!? I'm sure its wired right.
    + to the V/IN
    - to the GND
    and the V/OUT as positive

I test it with a voltage meter. Positive from V/OUT, Negative from battery to GND of booster and I'm still getting 3.7V. Am I missing something here? faulty booster? what the.....o_0'
