Blu Electronic Cigarette Review
I ordered a blu e-cig from Electronic Cigarette by Blu E-Cigarette on July 4th. Shortly after I placed my order I received and email stating my order was on backlog and it should be received and shipped in two weeks. On August 13th, almost 6 weeks after I ordered, I received my blu starter kit. After a day or so of having the blu I decided that it basically wasn't worth a crap and got rid of it. So here is a review of this product. Items are rated from 1-10 with 1 being very bad and 10 being excellent.
Appearance/size - 10 - The blu cig is the smallest e-cig that I know of. It has a very sleek design and comes with a personal charging pack. The appearance is one of the things about this product that drew me in.
Battery - 4 - The batteries for the blu do not last very long, but the charging pack makes up for it. The main problem that I had with the blu batteries was that they were very sensitive. One of the batteries that I had was extremely sensitive. It would come on when it was put in the pack, when the pack was opened, when the pack was closed, and it would come on at the slightest breeze that passed by it. Maybe it was defective?
Vapor - 3 - The vapor production with this product was very poor. I even tried filling the cartridges with my own liquid and the vapor was still practically non existant. I imagine the poor vapor production can be attributed to a poor atomizer.
Cartridges - 1 - The cartridges for the blu were horrible. The only cartridge I could taste was the menthol and it wasn't that good of a taste. The other four flavors all tasted the same to me, as sort of sickly sweet flavor. Not very pleasant at all. The cartridges did last for awhile, but they were not the equivalent of 15 analogs like they were advertised. I understand that how long they last varies on the individual using them, but I really feel like they were stretching the truth on this one. Taking into consideration that this product is a mini e-cig, the cartridges did last for probably what any other mini's would, but they should not have been advertised as lasting longer.
Charging pack - 7 - This came in handy since the batteries did not last very long. It would charge the batteries 6 times before the pack needed recharging. It took about 2 and a half hours to charge the pack though and I probably would have had to charge it every night. The inside of my pack was off though. It looked like it wasn't put together properly. The holes that you put the batteries in were off a bit and it was kind of difficult to get the batteries in. Again, maybe it was defective?
Customer Service - 4 - The blu website has an online chat where you can talk to a customer service representative. In the 6 weeks that I waited for my blu I was on there quite a bit. Basically it didn't really seem like the people knew anything about what was going on with shipping or why it would take so long for me to get my product. Nathan ordered his and got it 8 days later. One rep did give me the email address for the owner of the company and I finally received my product a few days after I emailed him. He did not email me back however.
I am sure there are other things that I could rate about this product, but it is probably a waste of time. Bottom line is that this is a horrible e-cig and I am very sorry that I wasted my time with it. I got rid of mine and Nathan is returning his also.
*Remember this is just my opinion from my experience!
