    Unhappy Just plain LOST

Ok, I have been looking into starting vaping for about 2 months and have bought one of the cheaper ecig type vaporizers with carts. I really hate everything about this device.

I'd like to drip and am looking to spend what I need to stop a 35 year smoking habit.

I'm thinking that I want a 510 atomizer and a pass-through but I can't for the life of me settle on a good device. I've been looking at the "Copper" and the "Protege" and "Spade" as well as SB and others. There's so many to choose from and they aren't cheap for somebody on a fixed income. For the money I can only afford 1 and would like any advise to these or others I should look at.

Thanx in advance and also for a great place for information to be gathered like these forums.

Also I've found it very confusing trying to figure out all the abbreviations and acronyms associated with vaping so if possible could we have a sticky to reference to for these.

    Hello,

I would just like to give you the advice now to start on a High Voltage Mod, The money that you spend on little ones will more than pay off a high voltage mod, You figure if you buy 2 or 3 starter kits you will have already purchased one of the higher end mods. At the same time most high voltage mods can do either 6v or 3.7. you can get adapter and just purchase different atties also instead of purchasing all new kits. So if you just do the initial investment on a bigger mod it will save you time and money in the long run. The only hurdle you might have to get over is the fact that most mods do not look like the regular analog cigarette but if you break that hurdle you are home free. I hope this helps you out a little. The few that I have found that I really enjoy are and in no particular order (the juice box, Silver bullet, the chuck) But those are my personally preference. Either that if you don't want to spend the money on one of those you can head over to madvapes and if you have the slightest ability with a soldering iron you can make your own for 1/4 of the cost. They have a how to mod section on their website.

Once again good luck and I hope you find something of your liking, you wont be disappointed as soon as you find "your" device of choice.

This is a very good price.
    DSE 905
Dig around the web and you will even find a discount code.
Found it in black also http://www.azsmokefree.com/inc/sdetail/1195
Made in China but hey if you are on a low budget.
And then there is this 5 volt unit GLV Polished Edition Personal Vaporizer Complete Kit [GLV-PE-KIT] - $95.00 : Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

When I first started vaping I started on the DSE901. From there I went to a Kr808d-1, which is a really nice two piece unit that uses cartomizers instead of a separate atomizer and cartridge. I really liked that model but was unhappy with battery life. I wanted a battery that would last all day. I also ended up getting a Joye 510, but that model has super short battery life. What finally did it for me was a Silver Bullet from Altsmoke. I purchased a Silver Bullet with a 510 to 808 connection so I can still use cartomizers. I basically just drip into the cartomizers. I change the cartomizer about once a week or so. They are meant to be disposable so it is no big deal for me to just throw one away. I get a full day + battery at 3.7 volts and about a half a day at 6 volts. It is super nice. So yeah, Take tazzed's advice and look around more at big battery mods before you waste too much money on regular e-cigs. IMO.

Honestly I don't think you should go with a 905...everyone seems to hate them and they seem to break easy. As tazz has said I would start with a mod like the silver bullet or the chuck..maybe even a juicebox but there is a big learning curve. I use a JuiceBox exclusively now but if I were to use a regular e-cig I would go with a KR808 on 5 or 6 volts.
    I'm awesome.

Default I'm a little confused too

AS to exactly what your budget will be, I have been through tough times and know how hard it can be.

Read and read and scout is important to maximize your dollar. I can't say a bad thing about any supplier that I have dealth with...all excellent overall. Makes it hard in choosing favorites.

Since you mentioned 510, I wanted to tell you Mad Vapes (check the supplier's forum for address) has a 510 disposable for 10.00. I heard nothing but good things and how it lasts. If you go that route-Make sure you look at their eliquidation..one time I got like 10ml cherry flavor for 3.00! Today at another supplier ash electronics I got a 30 ML chocolate for under 9.00. I absolutely love my joye510..I got a no box deal for 35.

OH and watch classified sections of these e-cig forums. I have 2 Bloog kits coming with passthrough and each kit retails for 100 w/o passthrough..I did a trade with non pv items. Only cost to me was 10.00 shipping.

Consider my post from someone new at this too.. but gets a lot for very little. 1 month smoke free

OH JUICEBOX if you want to jump up would get my vote too

    Default Oops

I just reread your post and realized I goofed!

So instead of a dispoable..one question do you soldier?
If so check out mods sections. Very inexpensive 3.7 V 900 mAH Nicostick for under 15.00 ( I even made one with help from Mad Vapes "how to" section) or under 25.00 5volt one.

fyi soldiering gun kit 8.00 radio shack. walmart has stuff for about the same but you get less stuff.

First thanks for the responses what a help.

I can soldier and am pretty handy wiring and drilling and I think I would enjoy modding, but for my sake I'd rather have a good ole dependable to start with. As for my budget for starting I'm looking at something under $150.00 but needs it to be a 1 time deal if ya know what I mean. And that would need to include a pass-through.

AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizer | Happy Holidays!

You cant go wrong. Use the 510 atomizers with it.

    Use this with these batteries..
    2 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable LiFePO4 Li-Ion Batteries with AC/DC Smart Charger

You will never get another PV after you get these. Get 2 extra battery's so you got one charging and one in use. I was a heavy smoker, had the 401, and the 510, wasted alot of money and still had the urge to smoke, after I got my silver bullet, I have no use for those nasty fockers anymore! Take it from me, its worth the price. I actually bought a Silver bullet about 3 months back, and I just ordered another one cause I see he has them in black now.. and I got to say the black is nicer looking in my opinion. I now have 2 of them, i am letting my g/f use the other.. lol She was using a 510 and barely hanging on, now she does not want a smoke period. Do yourself a favor and just go with this.. you will thank us all later.

PS I was a marlboro smoker for 23 years, and out of all the juices, I find the 36mg menthol is really making me happy. I have tried all the fruity flavors, all the tobacco flavors, for some reason i get a refreshing vape with lots of throat hit. And as long as you have been smoking, I would really suggest the 36mg. Good luck!

I just looked and Rob still has some in stock, grab one up now while they are in stock or you could be waiting a while for the next batch!!!
