If the 510 batteries are only lasting you 45 minutes, then something is wrong. As far as the passthrough goes, there are various suppliers here in the Nu-Vapor supplier section that carry them for the 510's. Sometimes those chargers will turn green way too early. Average charge time for a 510 battery for my wife and myself was 2 to 4 hours for a good solid charge. Even a very heavy vapor should get more than 45 minutes off a 510 in my opinion.

Brain that is what the charger will turn green inabout 45 to hr after i put the battery in.
So should I egnor the green light and just leave them in for a few hrs or does that mean I need a new charger all ready it is a month old.

you probably have the 510 short batteries....there are many suppliers that sell the 510 mega batteries which should give you a couple of hours of heavy vaping.....BUT it is probably time for you to start looking at buying a MOD like the spade or VP2.

I would HIGHLY suggest a mod, something that uses an 18650 battery in it. I'm a big supporter of the 18650 battery it's a bit lunky on size but it lasts more than a day per charge and that makes it perfect. Right now you juggle switching batteries and filling carts or dripping, etc. when you could eliminate the battery issue completely. If you are looking for a good passthru I suggest a 5v pass thru, I know Jason at electronicstix has a nice 5v passthru for 15 bucks...you can't beat that for value. What I ended up doing is buying a kensington power pack and running my 5v passthru off of that, which gives me a day or 2 of vaping and allows my 5v pass thru to be portable. The bottom line is that there are a TON of options out there for you to eliminate this battery problem permanently. You should have to be pained with switching out a battery ever 45 minutes... hell your battery should last a whole day.

don't get me wrong, MOD's are great!!!! but if you still want to keep in the spirit of manufactured batteries look into the eGo sold by janty or go to TW and get a tornado. the batts take 2-4 hours to charge depending on the charger that you're using but the lifespan on the battery is awesome. my old 510 batteries lasted me about 30 min but took almost an hour to charge which was extremely frustrating. But the batteries on the eGo/Tornado last me about 6-8 hours of continuous heavy vaping.

Get your self a Mod that uses 3.7 volts like the SB, with battery 18650 that is 3.7 volts, it will last you a full day 18 HOURS, and it comes with a 510.

You are misleading the OP by using terms like " 5v passthru for 15 bucks". Unfortunately there is nothing 5V about this pass through he sells. It is a cord and connector than legitimate retailers would simply call a pass through. There is nothing 5V about it on it's own. The only thing that determines volts ( and power/watts) is the current available to it and the resistance of the atty.

In your scenario with the specs listed at Amazon for the Kensington:

    Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery Input: 5VDC (Mini USB) -1.00A Max -- Output: 5VDC (USB) – 1.40A Max

Combined with your '5V pass thru' driving a Joye 510 atty, you are vaping at about 3.1V for about 4.3 WATTS (heat). Hardly worth the trouble or expense.

Please let's not turn this into a VF controversy post. We are just helping a fellow vaper here with just suggestions.
