Default I thought I was upgrading?

Using the same atty and juice on the ego I get more of a hit, warmer vapor, more vapor, while holding the button for a shorter time and the atty gets very hot. This is without the cone. On the BB which I think is a true 3.7v the atty gets just warm and I get less vapor even when I hold the button down much longer, and less hit. Was I wrong in assuming the difference should be the opposite in these devices?
Also, I bought a cheap $14 usb pt which lasted less than a month using 1 to 3 hours a day. Did I get what I paid for or should it last longer?
In addition, I bought two power packs one at 6000mah which powers the usb PT for a few seconds then won't turn on at all and a 1500 mah, 5v that will not even activate the PT. What is my error?

Um.... Sounds possible if you are not using that great of a battery on your BB.
Jantys batts do charge to about 4.09v (and 650 mAH which been claimed to be more or less an actual number ). But alot of ppl were praising jantys batts due to their quality.
Id try using a diff battery or maybe charger for your BB bats. Maybe they dont charge well. Most of the batts we all using in our mods are way too overrated and usually crappy (just took a bag pull of them to recycle the other week). If the batt says 900mah it means its more like 600mah. ugh....

The PT, well they are a little more flimsy that a cylinder mode. But I think you should get more that a month out of it. Of course it also depends on how you used it, what you used it with and who you got it from....

Power packs I have no clue, (tho I can see something like that possibly damaging your PT if it has a protection circuit) they only way I'd get one if I knew someone who had a particular model that worked for them. So I just just like many others ended up using Enercel adapter from Radioshack.

Hope this helps, and as always everything is IMHO

Thank you for your reply. It seems fishy about the BB and I got some different batts on the way along with the low R atty that will hopefully make a difference. I sometimes like the cooler more mellow vape from the BB. I REALLY appreciate this place and all that everyone shares, I am a tech tard and certainly should not and could not personally attempt working with parts and electricity. I am so thankful for all the modders and people sharing their work, products, and ideas. I was never this excited about cigarettes and am still amazed by this lifestyle change. I gave up trying to quit smoking and felt like a slave but with all your help I have quit and am amazed at how much more enjoyable vaping is than smoking. I feel so much better physically AND mentally, ahhh... so clean. This is becoming a hobby and collection and I haven't saved money yet but I don't care because I'm happier and so are my family and friends, I'm healthier and it is fun, exciting and amazing to see and try all the options. Sorry for rambling but I LOVE VAPING!

Were you talking about the Enercel variable voltage adapter or something else? Sorry I am a tech tard.

    No problem!
And do not worry about not knowing something or not being tech savvy.
It'll take sometime, most of us still don't know a bunch about things out there. Something new is popping out pretty often
Ha ha I'm glad you like vaping! Ya saving money is prop not gonna happen right away, just wait till you start seeing diff mods and accessories! And something new come out and you'll feel like you can leave with out it... lol (my story) But all this so far is deff worth being able to breath and not smelling like ass...

You'll like the LR attys, I was a little hesitant about getting them at first. But after I got them, I just like many said I wish I gotten them earlier!
Ya I was talking about the enercell adjustable adapter Model: 273-333 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3875410)
Its pretty pricey (but it seems way better quality than anything else I had before)
Did you have a newer non battery pt from one of the suppliers on here?

Yes, was a no batt pt from one of the suppliers here. Ya think I let the atty get too hot and blew it? But the atty still works. Just wanted to know if I needed too invest in a more expensive pt or stock up on cheaper ones. Since It looks like a fluke no biggie, I still got more for my money than I ever did with the Cigs.

Ya the passthrus are totally worth the money (well assuming the last more than a few days)
The one you are talking about is the 3rd type I tried, and I think the better one so far. At least the better one that build around a 510 body and button.
First PT I tried was a battery one (crap), than a coil wired one (great idea but quality was low)

Oh one thing I forgot to mention to anyone who ever plans on using enercell adapter or any other power adapters--WATCH FOR POLARITY-- You can screw up your toys, like PTs or Joye/janty sticks if you use adapter as a charger/power source.

There is really not much you can improve about those passthrus without increasing the size. lol. If you dont mind having something a little bigger or not as sleek looking there is a few options out there.
If you are looking for something thats already pre made check this one out
I heard good things about them. (or later one you might make your own, there is really not much to a passthru)
Oh and don't know what you are using for powering the PT, I would not recommend using your computer. Just for safety of the computer, it ll be cheaper getting an adapter than replacing your laptop.
    Madvapes just got a 2000mah 5v usb adapters for $10 http://www.madvapes.com/2-amp-AC-to-...hs_p_2357.html
I think I'll get one next time to back up my enercell. And if you ever decide to get enercell try goin to the store first, when I went I got a usb tip for free

Good job on the answeres Mitrich. As far as the powerpacks go, make sure the out is a minnimum of 2amps out with preferrably 5v. Hope it all works out for you.
