510 cartomizer--how to use?

Hi everybody--

Just got my new 510 from madvapes and I also ordered the cartomizers. Filled the cartomizer with juice but could not get any vapor. Put some more in and then noticed juice was running down the whole cig---probably not good. Dried everything off, but still no vapor. Battery seems to be working fine--LED lights up.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.
How did you fill the carto's?
I use one of the silicon caps thats on them.
Fill 3/4 with juice then push mouth piece end of carto into cap slowly push down till juice just appears at battery end let sit for awhile 10-20min remove
cap wipe up and blow lightly through battery end to clear into a paper towel. should be good to go at that point. hope this helps a little. Also the juice your using
might be PG based and that vapor will not be as noticeable as a VG based or a mixture of the two like 80/20 or 70/30 pg/vg
I personally like 100%vg juice. loads of vapor.

Thank you very much for the reply and info. Frankly, the juice leaking all over the place kinda freaked me out a bit, so I am now using the regular cartridges and separate atomizers that came with the 510. I will give your advice a try though.

My suspicion is that the atomizer is just not working because when I took a drag, there was no sound or anything. Maybe I will try a different cartomizer to see what happens.

Hard to say with out seeing what you did, but
when I get a carto... I pop the plug out, put like 20 maybe drops. Slowly tho because its gonna take time to soak in.
Let is sit for a minute, screw it in and vape
Maybe it was just a bad carto... ?

One thing I did notice was that there isn't any polyfil in the cartomizer like there is in the normal cartridge.

Yeah!!!!! Got it working. First cartomizer was either a dud or I messed it up by putting too much juice in it (?). Working great now.

Try blowing as much as you can out to the first carto into a paper towel and then wipe it off and vape on it. It is flooded ( I know because I did the same thing when I started using cartos). It will start working properly eventually.

I tried what you suggested and still nothing on that particular carto--no crackly sound, no vapor. I will keep trying it periodically, but I'm not as freaked as I was since the next carto worked fine.

They are mass produced. You may have just hit a bad one right out of the gate. Glad to hear your others are working fine. Don't give up on that first one yet though. Sometimes it takes a while to deflood a carto.

Just to let everyone know, the carto that I thought was DOA is now working. I let it sit for a couple of days and I am now vaping away on it.
