    Default atomizer agony

Okay guys, I need some help. I am looking at getting the 2xAA Box Mod at madvapes. I've got the battery and charger figured out (I think) but I need some advise on which atomizers to get. As I've said before, I don't really understand volts and resistance and stuff like that. I've got a ticket request in to them by email, but ya know how it is waiting LOL.

I am also looking at perhaps getting one of the Chuck models in the not too distant future but that is just not in the budget at the moment, so that might be a consideration????????

    Thanks in advance.

Hey Rose, I am not familiar with the Box Mod from madvapes but I wanted to ask how much was in your budget before offering any opinion as to what to get. I really don't think you have to start off small or low just because you are new to vaping, in the vaping world it people do not have to work their way up. Please give us a ballpark figure on how much you can afford to spend that way we can better decide the best bang for your money. Also a lot of people here might be willing to sell you their mod for a low price since most people cannot use more than 1 or 2 devices anyways.

Please give us more info and I will get back to you.

    Hey Keith--

I'd like to keep it to about $50 including batteries and charger. There is some wiggle room in that, but not much. The mod that I am looking at at madvapes is a "second" and costs $18.00. Add 2 batteries and a charger and it is coming in at $36.

When I got my 510 from them, I also got a usb passthru and am finding that I LOVE that. Reminds me of my 901 that I got from Eastmall that I left back in Ottawa. Vapor and flavor comes through beautifully, but with the batteries, not so much. I mostly vape at my computer so that's okay, but I know that the passthru won't last forever.

I guess what I am looking for is something that gives me the vapor and flavor that I am getting from my passthru, but more reliable so I don't keep spending money on more batteries (that are not giving me what I want anyway).

Thanks in advance for any info and suggestion or or anyone else wish to share

    Rose,
Let's wait for Mitrich to tell us what he has left out of his huge collection of mods that he has hoarded. I would really like to see you get something than can damn near last forever, but most of those cost at least $80. Mitrich or another member may be able to help you out by selling a reliable mod to you at a lower cost.

Also you have to remember that big battery mods do hold a charge for a long time but there is still the cost of the charger and possibly yearly replacing of the lithium rechargables.

In the mean while, take a look at the for sale section and see if there is anything that interests you.

I did check the for sale section, but there doesn't seem to be much available at the moment.

Waiting for mitrich sounds good to me.

Aaaaaaa Keith stop selling my stuff with out me!!! I just sold 4 toys in the last 2weeks Im gonna wait a bit now... he he (at least till omega n presh U comes out )

Ok, so trying to catch up here....

Ok, your looking for some kind of mod for lets say around $50ish.... Ya if you want to get it with batts n charger your best bet would be classifieds.. but a decent big batt mod with batts n charger is gonna be a little more.
I know its sounds like a lot of money spending lets say $100 on a mod, but a good mod will pay for itself. And not all mods are equal, besides the looks there is also built quality.
I dont know what PVs you got, but what about an ego kit. It is a full kit (batts, charger, attys) for about $65ish. They arent big battery mods, but do perform well.

Or you can also wait a bit and see if some one is selling something... but still mods are usually sold with no chargers...
Sry, if wasnt much help, just think we need to talk you in to spending a lil extra money

Rose, did you take a look at this site ? e-Cig Mods Database | eCigarette-Mods.com

You can first decide what looks nice to you because let's face it, we all have preferences and there's no sense in getting something butt ugly that you would be ashamed to use in public. Second, try to choose something that fits a 510 atomizer and try to choose something with high mah ratings. Mah is milli amp hours, that basically tells you how long the battery can last at a certain amp drain. The bigger the better in this case and I see this thing called F16 that comes with a 1200mah battery. The standard joye battery is only 180mah and the mega batts are 280mah but they still don't last long so you can imagine how big of a difference 1200mah is compared to 280. Theoretically it should last over 4 times longer than a 280mah and 6.6 times longer than the regular joye batteries.

Well, please take a look at all the mods on that site, you can browse by style and shape which at least narrows it down. Let us know when you have an idea of what style you would like and we would be more than happy to give you our input or even research further for you.

Just a quick thought for you Rose. It sounds like you already have some 510 stuff, attys, carts, chargers, ect. As long as you already have a 510 charger, you could just buy an ego/TW tornado/riva battery, battery adapter, and cone. I know that Totally Wicked (these guys are usually too expensive, but somtimes have good deals) just released a 1000 mah mega tornado battery (TORNADO E-NIC- MEGA 1000mAh Manual Batteries.). That is $25. You then pick up the battery charging adapter (TORNADO-Battery-Mains Charger Adaptor) for $4, and a color matching cone (TORNADO-Accessories / Totally Wicked eLiquid / electronic cigarette eliquid nicotine fluid products) for $6. You would then have a mega tornado for $35 plus shipping. There are also dicount codes for TW like WICK109 where you can get 7.5% off. You could could probably do something like this at Clouds of Vapor with the Riva if you preffered.

That being said, what mitrich and Keith stated above is totally true. It is worth saving up and investing in a good mod. I personally love my Silver Bullet and I have not had a single issue with it. You can find SB's up for sale some times in the for sale section for cheaper than the already cheap (comparatively) $85 new. The key to these more expensive mods is that they are reliable tubes for batteries that have replaceable cheap batteries. The option I gave you above would probably work well for you for a while, but once that battery fails you have to replace the most expensive part. The big battery mods on the other hand are the opposite. After you have your initial investment, the parts that have to be replaced down the road a relatively cheap. Going back to the silver bullet example, you can get a 2 pack of a good quality 18650 battery for around $8, the charger which should last much much longer is anywhere from $10 to $15, and a bottle of Noalox $4 at your local hardware store which will last for years. In the long run I believe this to be a better value.

I hope this is more helpful than confusing. Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

1 last thing, if you really like the idea of a AA battery box mod that works really well, check out the Mr Puffer (http://www.pufftronic.com/The_MrPuffer.html). The base model is $35 and it works very well! You would still need to buy some 14500 batteries and a charger. I would suggest these (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26124) with this charger (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4151).
