    Default Question About Screwdriver Equilevant

    Hello, all fellow vapers!

First time posting on a forum ANYWHERE ... I'm that desperate!

I am (esp for my age) known for being the heaviest smoker anyone I know has ever met ... no pride in that I am at least as addicted to the roiling smoke as the nicotine!

Have been vaping for about a month now ... cut back smoking a LOT ... however, I need something that will allow me to say goodbye to burning "paper and leaves" for good! I LOVE vaping ... but I seem to have some trouble(s) ... mainly, I like lots of thick vapor ... I bought a 5V PT ... good stuff ('til in broke) ... gonna buy another one ... still (here's the pitch) ...
A friend suggested I try a "screwdriver" ... sp. from TW ... but I'm balkng at the price (100, including 510 adapters, etc). Seems the "only" thing it has going for it is 900 mah. So, while I was windowshopping through MV (I love themz guys I saw a 2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED Mod box that seemed, with the same batt, could theoretically be as good as a SD(?) Ostensibly, I want a box at least as good as an SD (they hooked me when the say that an SD is designed "with heavy users in mind").

Sorry to be so word-y, but I'm still learning, and I want a Vape Stick I can know and love for a long time ... or at least replace for cheap(er) ... that vapes as good as it gets for the world's most intense smoker ... and I REALLY want off cigarettes (I almost make my RT cry). Any help would be REALLY appreciated ... and I'll go shut up now and let the grown folk talk.
    Thanks!

If you are as heavy a smoker as you say you are then in my opinion you need to go the high voltage route. The screwdriver is only 3.7 volts, There are many 5-6 volt options available today some are the Silver Bullet and Omega from Altsmoke, or the V2 or V3 from Puresmoker. All the devices I mentioned I own and they all use rcr123a 3.0 volt batteries, I get a good 8-9 hours per charge with heavy vaping. You didn't mention what mg juice you use but you might also want to consider upping your nicotine levels.

    Welcome to nu-vapor!
Thick vapor you do not mention who's and what type of juice you use. I prefer VG juice because it produces loads of vapor. There are many mods out there, I suggest watching some vid reviews.
If your looking for a Tobacco flavor thats strong and gives tons of vapor and a great throat hit check out Alien Visions E-juice and get a sample of Boba's Bounty T'bac Blend it will rock your socks.
The Silver Bullet is a tank, it just plain and simple works and does it well! I have never had any issues with mine. At first I use to do 6v all the time, when Low Resistance atties/carto's came out 3.7v is awesome again
Plus an 18650 bat will last almost 2 days of heavy vaping.

Another option is to get a box mod
REO nice wood craftsmenship bottom feeder native 801 atty comes with adapters for 510 and 901 3.7v and 6v capable
    Journeymen woodbox bottom feeder
    Wetbox typically 3.7v or 5v
Nico FistPack multi voltage charges thru usb port also can be vaped while charging

    Touch Sensor PV's
Ultimate The Precious V2 soon to be released multi voltage and juice dispenser
    Saber touch

There are many more options available. It becomes an obsession for some of us.

If price it the problem you are having check out the for sale sections of the forums. Something like this might be a good option for you (http://www.nu-vapor.com/forum/articl...-mod-plus.html).

IF you want thick filling vapor that is incredibly satisfying go with an all VG juice just like Capevette suggested. All of his hardware and juice recommendations above I completely agree with. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the hardware he listed above. I enjoy all of the the alien vision juices, not just there tobacco flavors. Especially the C&D, havanna, and root beer. Also check out gormetvapor.com you can get all vg juice there and the flavor is AWESOME!

Default Ouch! Fell off the wagon:((

Sorry for the long wait for post ... been busy
I cannot thank you enough for your help ... this has become an obsession of mine as well.

It sounds like the consensus seems to lead to the 6V silver bullet(?).
I was wondering if there is a box mod / vapestick that uses standard rechargeables? I am trying to find something that I can vape the he** out of with as little upkeep and expense as possible.

I seem to have a really hard time as of late getting a good vape going. Between buying new attys, new carts, and ejuice, waiting for them in the mail, etc., it is starting to be both expensive and difficult. I'm hoping it is because of my "newbie"-ness, and ignorance about products/ procedures, and buying crap products ... I went back to analogs last week (WAAAAAHHH!) because I can't seem to get a consistent, satisfying vape. I get a really good one every once in a while ... then everything gets unsatisfying, and I find myself vaping non stop, and still needing a smoke break One minute, mad vapour, awesome throat hit, the next, holding the button for long periods to get anemic vape, with moderate to weak throat hit. Same stick, same juice … just suddenly goes from sweet to sh”ee”t just that quickly.

    - I use PG, as the acrolein(sp?) issue gives me concern about VG – Usually Breezesmokes or TW occasionally. Smoke reds, so I shoot for 24mg, but when (rarely) getting a great vape, 18 can do.
    - I seem to go through atty's at a scary clip (clogged? Burnt out?), so I stay away from LR for financial reasons (I understand they have a higher burnout rate).

With all of that said, then, it again seems you guys are saying the 6V SB is the way to go?From whom? Is there a solid, built-to-last USB that I could also get, so the SB might last longer? I smoke a LOT! For both, I’ll spend the money for it if I know it will satisfy and LAST for a good long time ... just can’t keep buying and buying and buying … Are there any carts and/ or atty’s that last for more than a few days? Or some other juice delivery system (what is a wetbox … I know, NOOB!)?
Again, I just want something that works all the time, that I don’t have to think about … I REALLY WANT TO STOP FRICKIN’ SMOKING! I’m DESPERATE! HELP!
Again, huge post, many questions … humblest apologies. I shall silently await the wisdom of others. THANK YOU!

Altsmoke.com sells the SB and all the accessories. You would need to get some 3v Li ion or Lifpo's for 6v vaping. You can also get a pass thru for it also, if you get an enercell power supply from Radio Shack with the G adapter plug you can vape the SB at 5v, I have this setup and works very well. It also powers my Double Barrel Silver Bullet quite well also

I have a few things to add. First off, your "dead" attys. I suggest that you take each of your attys that you believe are dead and try the following.
    1. Take just the atomizer and put a paper towel over the threaded end.
    2. Blow really hard through the end that the cart plugs into.
    3. You should see liquid coming through onto the towel, keep going till you don't get any more liquid out.
    4. Put the atty back onto a battery and try and vape. Use one of the empty tops that ships with the attys so you don't burn your lips. As long as the atty isn't stone cold, it was just flooded. (I am not trying to insult you, you said noob so I am giving you noob advice)
    5. If it puffs back to life and then diminishes, stop take it off and put it in the working pile. You should have a working atty now.

Hopefully this will bring back some of your attys. If it works on at least 1, I would call that a win.

Next, have you tried dripping? You should if you have not. I haven't used a cart in a VERY long time. I use cartos for the situations I would use a cart. They hold more juice and are way cleaner and easier. If you are going to go to 6V, DO NOT USE A CART! All you will do is burn the crap out of the polly fill. Drip only at 6V. Drip tips are cheap and well worth it so I would suggest getting at least 1.

    @Capevette,

Are you sure it's not the "N" adapter for the Enercell? That is what I have and it works perfectly.

No matter what you choose a 2AA box mod always comes in handy. For the price this can't be beat. Cheap batteries, stealth capabilities and with an EM LR510 it hit's the spot.

2xAA Box Mod with Green LED and 901/808 connector

    Decent price on the EM's.

    510 LR atomizer
