    Default 510 Passthrough Question

    I tried using my pass-through on the way to the office today. Obviously, I had no luck with this and I'm sure I'm not the only idiot unaware of the reason why... I plug it in and the light just blinks. I'm guessing the power plug does not give enough voltage to the pass-through. Is there a !$#$%^ car mod!? C'mon Jason I need my infinite puffer while driving... what gives?

    you are correct it is a TRUE 5v passthrough and most car adapters only put out 500mA and that passthrough needs at least 1000ma (1 amp) to work properly.. im sourcing some car adapters shortly.

    Not to lose Jason a sale, but if you're in a hurry and want something now -- those 1000mAh car adapters can be bought off Amazon or eBay for super cheap. The wall adapters are like... 40-50 cents on eBay or Amazon, I can't imagine a car adapter version would be exorbitantly expensive. However if he's getting them in soon, buy from Jason! He's awesome, and you should buy everything from him -- especially 30ml Waffle Rath Juice /nudge Jason

    Glad to hear it! Even though I have a Silver Bullet, I've been thinking of getting a 5v pass-through for use at my desk or near an outlet. The SB is apparently getting a pass-through addon, but unless it's something magical and does 6v or something, I'm sure it's going to cost like $75 bucks since he'll needlessly make it gigantic and out of solid polished aluminum, so I'll probably go for the 5v option.

    with 1Amp USB Port
    If you are running a Joye 510 that will give you all of 2.2V. With an SLB/DSE 510 about 3V.

    To the OP do yourself a favor and find an AC 5V USB adapter or car adapter with 2000mA (2A) output. They're out there.
