What the hell is up folks?

Some of you know me, which is either very good, or very very bad, you'll have to remain the judge of that. I'm a bona-fide, genuine to-the-bones jerk, I am honest to a fault, and I don't take crap from anyone, ever, end of story. On the other side of the coin, I'm the nicest most laid back cat you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. If you're a punk, I'm the guy that calls you on it. If you're cool, loving, caring, compassionate human being, then I look forward to giving you a mighty bear hug.

I've been vaping since last november, frequent the cesspool (VF), and the video chat from time to time. I love 808's and my 601, "graduated" from a 510 to a 510 on 2 cr2's in a Copper, and finally kicked that BS for a rock solid little 808 kit. I've not cried a single tear about it. I do a few mods, personal stuff, simple passthroughs and so forth, but I've also been working on a marbleclad boxmod, spruced up with pocketwatch parts, brass and leather trim for a steampunkish look. I'll have some pictures up sometime, and I'm sure the recipient of this first one will shower you all with pictures. I've also got a modded zippo (only gets about 30-45 minutes on a charge) with a 510 carto in it.. still testing a couple switches for that one.. i hate electronics.

I'm pretty much officially done with VF, thank goodness. It really is a cesspool. It's the catchall for all the trash, sadly its where I started. The lure of "the other place banned me for petty stuff" made it feel like the "right" place to be, but more and more I see these people just can't behave. The fighting, I'll admit, is entertaining, and I enjoy egging it on, pushing the buttons that need pushing (but never by making anything up... I use the brutal honest truth, it hurts so much more); but embracing my hateful streak is taking its toll on me, so I'm done with that mess.

Sorry to blah blah blah blah blah for 15 minutes about pointless junk, but I felt I should get my warnings and my greetings all in one go. A few other things to know, right up front.

1) No, I will not sign your petition. My politics and your politics most likely do not align.
2) No, I will not join your "club" "association" "coalition" or "group".
3) No, I will not donate funds to your politics, your groups, your fund raisers or your "I need a new car" account
4) Yes, I listen to music you probably think is gay. And yes, I probably think your choices are pretty mind-numbingly stupid.
5) Yes, I'm an insensitive, hateful monster.

Aside from that, I'm married to that darling little thing in my avatar, we have 4 (yes, FOUR) children. I work for an architectural firm doing things ranging from CNC to 3D Visualization to sculpting and painting. I took this up after I was injured working oil and natural gas drilling rigs in south and west Texas. I'm a pretty huge geek though, do not be fooled.

I guess this is the place all of us end up after getting sick of ecf and vf. To call those places a chaotic political shithole of a zoo would be an understatement.

I have made a few posts here, before the layout changed up I think, figured I should properly introduce myself.

Now if I could only get my flash plugin to behave with the videochat here... won't let me click a room to enter it. Well, I can click, but nothin happens.

Hi Krystopher!! I thought I would post here more often also, I still go to ECF and VF but you are right, things get a bit messy. I believe in freedom of speech but some people take it too far. I have met a lot of nice people at both places. Looks like the drama is at a standstill right now at VF but who knows, could change in a heartbeat, lol! Good to see you!!

As I have said on VF numerous times, people are far too stupid and selfish to be afforded complete freedom.

We had a week free of drama, but since it seems to be a 2 week cycle, I expect some sort of fiasco this week.

still reading around the boards atm, not much I can add to anything yet... give me time!


as for my flash issue, its the 64bit flash from adobe for linux. it sucks. it's totally useless crap. Youtube videos will play OK, but controling flash elements is really really hit and miss. 75% of the time i can't fast forward/rewind/adjust volume on youtube. It animates the click (button changes color, slider moves) but when it comes time to commit the change, nothing happens. I'll going to try the opensource alternatives and see if I have any better luck. I flat out refuse to use my windows install for anything aside from gaming. period. I don't even listen to music with it. Only games. It is my "xbox" so to speak. One trick pony. The times i NEED to use my browser for something, I literally have a virtual machine with puppylinux installed for that purpose. Seems a bit extreme to some folks, I'm sure, but it works for me. Just having some issues with the official flash from adobe (which is to be expected).
