Seems nice and with an appropriate switch, something the WetBox lacks.

But the woefully under speced RS 7805 1A regulator is defiantly not the best choice.

You'll be constantly exceeding the 1A rating and creating a lot of heat. Also the drop out voltage is quite high at about 2V. What that means is to get 5V your batts need to be at 7V+. Contrast that with a Texas Instruments 3A LDO (low drop out) regulator which will provide 5V till the batts get to 5.5V. That's a big difference in run time.

Well everytime i try to upload any new pics i get errors, so enough of that...I have made 6 boxes...some 3 volt some 5 volt...all have been working perfectly for months with no problems. I use both mad vapes and radio shack regulators, both work, both vape fine. Both versions shut off the batteries at about 5.4 volts. No overheating issues and i vape atomizers and cartomizers. some have led's some dont. All have buttons of course and all have on off switches. I basically made mine because like the cigarette industry, some in the vaping industry are overcharging IMHO, for stuff as the demand grows, so do the prices...KNEW THIS WAS going to happen...greed..........
    And i said some...not all.....
i made each box, 3 or 5 volt, without the batteries, for about 10-12.00 a box...all parts...They are basically pretty simple to make...the 3 volt small battery version lasts about 3 hours of constant whore vaping...and the 5 volt version lasts about 6+ hours whore vaping.....i carry 2, volt boxes when i leave at 7 am and when i return at 500 i still am vaping, and continue to, while the first set of batteries are recharging....if you want to see pics, email me at wcz@charter.net.........i will send you pics...i can't deal with the forum pic issue....

p.s. i took 1, 5 volt version to see, and stepped it down to 4.8 volts using a diode after the regulator...i get constant 4.8 volts...was just curious...vapes like 5 volt....i vape PG or VG no problems with attys or cartomizers....i am happy and i am not smoking...and they work.............

    Thumbs up Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for pics & as a dedicated vaperer, ( I just started about 6 weeks ago, a month after quitting a 45yr 2pk a day habit. ) I couldn't AGREE MORE with your comments. One reason I quit was I couldn't afford the cost anymore. The cost & all the other advantages of vaping initially drew me in .......untill every mega 510 batt, usb pt, charger failed either right before or a day after 2 week warranty expired. Well I've been vaping since with usb pt's I made from salvaged batt connector's & scrapped stuff. Whats so funny......last night I was at RS & bought the SAME, BATT BX, REG, SW, you are using ....... after noticing the wetbox on COV a couple of days ago LOL i too was going to order a few injector bottles from COV. I came here after looking at MV circuit diagram & saw your pics. I guess like minds think alike, I put sw in same location. My only difference is for now, running usb cord thru hole where you have led. I'll solder ground to unused SPDT terminal. Since I don't have any batts yet........one question, what batts do you use?

I was never into the wetbox aka "ipod" - Just something about it, I can't put my finger on it, it just never fit my needs to even consider owning, back when I use to be a collector. I no longer collect, just stick to what I have. Keep it simple. - Life simple now. After figuring out what mods fit me, finally after owning practically every device, I've decided what suites me best and kept them (What's in my signature), and sold everything else off.

And I'm a very organized person. I have my own shelf/room dedicated to my vaporizing device(s) and accessories.

I had literally everything on the market, but the wetbox. But a +1 for you my friend, this is a very good read thread!
